Contemporary Painting
Wading In The Blues is one of several blue paintings from a series of paintings created this year, 2022 . My set goal was to explore a variety of shapes, patterns, and lines that would fill the composition with energy and unity. The background with the soft hues and fading shapes help to highlight the bold and colorful shapes in the foreground. You can view more examples of this playful series in the image Finding My Way. Exploring marks and lines that have somehow traveled with me from childhood into adulthood has been a journey of insight and delight. Again these shapes and lines have filled this blue abstract painting to delight the viewer. My sense of humor has brought me joy throughout my life's journey, and I often find its expression in the color pallet I use.
