How Well do You know your Friends?
Hopefully you know them well enough to hang out with them and enjoy their company. Or perhaps well enough to stand with them in both good and bad times. Having friends is not only important to our survival but they can help us though the many ups and downs of life. The painting below, The Three Amigos, is the latest painting in my crow and raven series. Like humans, crows and ravens live in communities and need one another in order to survive. I am both fascinated with their intelligence and behavioral antics. They are active participants in my neighborhood environment and add both flavor and color to the Helena skyline.

Priming the canvas with a black primer
The drawings are cut out and white chalk is applied to the back of the drawing allowing me to transfer the drawing onto the black primed surface.
Chalk drawings of the birds on the canvas.
The image is now covered in white setting up a pattern for the under painting.
Micro Mystery #4
Below you will see a small portion of a piece of art work which is a clue to a larger masterpiece. If you know the work or the artist or both you can email me your answers by clicking here with the title and the name of the artist. Then if you know something interesting about the artist or the work you can enter it as a clue in the comment section below which can help others find out who the artist is and what the title of the work is. The name of the artist and the title of the work should not be included in the clue. This will help keep everyone in the game until I reveal the correct answers on Friday. The names of those who emailed me with the correct artist name and the title will also be posted on Friday. Good Luck to all who participate.
Hint. This painting is often called The Dutch Mona Lisa
