The Via Dolorosa-The Way of Sorrows

Holy week 2011 has begun with Palm Sunday. Millions of Christians around the world will remember the passion, death and resurrection of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In Jerusalem today you can walk the way that Jesus walked after his sentencing by Pontius Pilate to his death on Golgotha. The path is called, The Via Dolorosa, which means “way of sorrows”.

As we remember the steps Jesus took, let us also remember those around the world and in our very own neighborhoods who struggle and suffer this day. May our prayers and deeds bring comfort and aid.
