In the bleak mid-winter
Frosty wind made moan;
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter
Long ago.
Christina Rossetti
The snow has begun to fall in Helena with wind gusts up to 35 to 40 mph. Winter has finally arrived and I have been content that Old Man Winter has taken his sweet time arriving. While the weather outside has been harsh and bone chilling my apartment has stayed warm and full of color and joy. I am grateful and happy to have time to continue painting on commissions and playing with Archie, who is now in full bird adolescence. His juvenile antics make me smile everyday.
