How Do You Tell Time?

Time and telling time are a part of everyones daily landscape. I find clocks and other devices that mark time far more fascinating than being accountable to time. It dawned on me a few months ago that some of my wooden bird paintings would make a good casing for a clock. Hands down when I think of time I always think of roosters and how faithful they are to sing in the early morning hours marking the break of day. Not only do clocks and birds mark times of the day but so do some of mother natures wonders such as, The Old Faithful Geyser in Yellowstone National Park. It is one of the most predictable geographical features on Earth, erupting every 35 to 120 minutes. people from around the world come to see her spout her stuff.  This summer I was asked to create a painting of a natural fountain for a classroom at The Mustard Seed School in Hoboken NJ. Naturally Old Faithful came to my mind right away.

There are a billion facts one could write about time and time machines and how we humans interact with time but if you have a favorite time device or a specific thought about time please leave a comment in the comment section below this post.  It only seems appropriate to end by saying, thanks for taking the time to read this post.
