In March I was given the opportunity to do some interior house painting. Making a home more beautiful with a fresh coat of paint is always rewarding to me. Getting out of the art studio for a few days is refreshing and brings new opportunities to meet new people. Since March I have painted in 3 different homes and have another job coming in a few weeks.
Painting a 12 ft ceiling.
This weekend I gave Birds and Beasley’s Art Gallery their new sandwich board to help advertise all their beautiful art and wide variety of bird seed. The board is two sided and features one of my whimsical bird cutouts with a chalkboard to highlight store events. If your in Helena please stop in and say Maureen sent you!
The Helena Spring Art Walk is this Friday May 15. Hope to see you downtown on the walking mall.
I also had the pleasure of creating a wood cutout for Peter and Maggie Hoyer commissioned by Jan Gallagher. Peter and and Maggie have sold their beloved home in Bradley Beach NJ and are moving to North Carolina to be closer to their children and grandchildren. All my best to the Hoyer’s as they resettle and make a new home.

Besides commissions and house painting I have created a new story block set for children,
The Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd leads his flock to green pastures and still water. He seeks out the lost one, the injured one, and the one who is in danger or afraid. He knows each one by name. Put the knowledge of the never-ending love and protection of The Good Shepherd in your child’s heart and mind and hands with this story set.
These unique sets can be used in the home, classroom or in a church setting, wherever children gather.
You can purchase them Here.
