Here are two new paintings of the Helena mountains that I finished this week. They both sit in old antique frames that I have found here in second hand stores and local estate sales. These mountains continue to draw me into their bountiful beauty. Wherever I go, no matter what time of day, they are always there standing tall and enduring through wind, rain, snow, cold, and heat. Montanans find refuge from the many challenges and stresses of modern life in these mountains. They provide a space that nourishes the inner soul and calms the distracted mind. As an artist they renew my artistic soul with wonder, beauty and freedom. I find it challenging to try and capture the deep rich hues that fall across these majestic mountains daily.
