Words of Wisdom

As an artist I love challenges and enjoy creating new and different pieces. I am hopeful that the year a head holds many opportunities for deepening my own creativity. I recently was sent this beautiful quote from my friends Douglas and Catherine Wieneke of The Lark Art Gallery in Sedona AZ. The quote is by Corrie ten Boom. and reads. “Worry does not empty tomorrow of its troubles ; it empties today of its strength” These words really resonated with me and they are words I embrace as I walk into 2012. For sure there is wisdom for the soul here. Worrying is so easy to engage in and I for one know it can zap me of the energy and the strength I need to engage in the creative process. I have this quote near at hand in my studio as a reminder when I start to fret about something. I hope you find these words meaningful as well. I look forward to 2012 and the opportunities to embrace peace rather than worry and anxiety. Happy New Year to all and stop by often to see more of my 2012 art.
