My Chair painting is one of many being auctioned off by the Helena Symphony Orchestra in January 2010 to support their upcoming concert series. Artists from the Helena area have used a wide variety of themes, chairs and colors to help the Symphony launch a wonderful fund raiser. I chose Georgia O’Keeffe as my theme for the chair. She is one of my most favorite artists. This piece is my version of her painting , “Rams Head Hollyhock Hills ” Instead of the Santa Fe mountains I painted the mountains that are on the northern edge of the Helena Valley. Georgia would have felt right at home here in Montana with its majestic mountains and big sky.
