I just can’t stop thinking about those wonderful Ironwood trees. I made one in January for my good friend Emily and had such a good time creating it that I just had to make another. Here is one I made last week. I set the tree against an abstract painting reminescent of the early evening sunset with a full moon rising. I particularly enjoy these moments when the noises of the hectic day settle into the calmness of the approaching evening. I often find those evenings filled with wonder, gratitude and peace. They are a gift and a delight to the soul.

Evening solitude measures 12 x 18. Wood and acrylic
