The Painter in Her Art Studio
I confess these abstracts are luring me into a real mania. Over the past several months Sunday seems to be the day that I go non stop creating two or three abstract paintings at a time. There is something so freeing about painting this way. Time seems to be nonexistent and the paintings dominate and dictate every shape, color and texture. I often feel as though I’m just along for the ride. The only thing I can compare it to is a beautiful Sunday drive in the mountains with a friend. The miles go by while you soak in the lush scenery, thoughts fade and you are on automatic pilot and your heart and soul take center seat.
Here are a few photos I took this Sunday of my art studio while I was painting .
My Faithful pet bird Bleecker. He breaks into song every time he sees one of these paintings. It is the shinny surface that gets him all excited. What a fan.
My Painting table. I gave up a long time ago trying to keep it fresh and white looking. Instead of cleaning it I just paint it white every few months.
The top of my table looks like a Jackson Pollack original. This is without a doubt the most random style of painting ever imagined.
My Drawing table with a new design being made for a wood cutout.
Blue # 1
I love the color red.
