This is the largest abstract painting in my mountain series. Rocky Mountain Red measures 18″x 36″. The wooden frame is a window from an old Victorian house here in Helena.
I’m particularly drawn to the red and oranges. These colors appear often in a Montana sky. As I stand and gaze at these frequent sunsets I’m in awe at how the sun’s rays can drizzle the mountains in a majestic coat of jeweled colors. These types of views are breath taking and words fail to describe the beauty of the mountains as they are bathed in such light.
