For me every new day is a new beginning filled with hope, promise and wonder. A good friend of my always says, “Each new day is a new ball game”. I have always been a morning person. I love getting up early usually around 5 am. I enjoy watching the light overcome the darkness and hear the quiet of my neighborhood streets. In this early morning cocoon my soul settles and plunges into quiet reflection which brings an awareness of the eternal within the present moment. The original abstract painting above, Morning Sunrise, expresses in color some of the mystery my soul experiences as I awake and greet a new day. I realize not everyone is a morning person. I am sure some of you are night people. However I imagine you experience some of these same moments but at a much later hour. For sure as humans we all need some time and space to be quiet and to give our hearts and minds over to the God who is love as he wraps us in His eternal presence.
