I am definitely a morning person. With my coffee mug filled to the brim I greet the early morning with a sense of hope and wonder and begin my morning routine with quiet prayer and reflection. This is generally the time of day that I find it most easy to reflect and to listen and to take time to energize my creative thoughts and imaginings. But now that summer is here the Montana evenings hold endless encounters with solitude and wonderment. During the summer I linger longer into the evening hours to watch the setting sunlight play across the mountains and to hear the gentle cooing of the night birds. I have found that it is often the evening that brings the joy and rapture of the day to full circle.
I hope that where ever you live you will take the opportunity to sit awhile, alone or with a loved one, and enjoy the evening raptures of light, color, and sound.
