A Garden In Mobile Alabama
I have been away from my art studio here in Helena for two weeks. I took all my paints and paintings that were on hand and headed to Mobile Alabama where I spent time with my good friends, George and Leslie Mims. Their charming 1860 home was an ideal setting for creating some new works of art. Reuniting with dear friends, can revive the artistic soul especially when there is lots of laughter and good stories to be shared. Below are some photos of their home and my Dixie Land art studio.
The painting above, “Red Blooms” was created while I was on Leslie’s back patio working and gazing out onto her backyard which is laden with trees and brightly colored flowers. This piece is for sale. it measures 12″W x 25″H and is painted in transparent acrylics which allow the colors to glow. You can purchase this painting here
