Rene Magritte
René Magritte 1898 – 1967 was a Belgian surrealist artist. He often painted his bowler hat in various posses and environments. His work is both challenging to the viewer as well as humorous. He loved mystery and repetition and combined them in various paintings. He was a master of testing our understanding of reality by placing objects and people in unreal situations or settings.
Below is another painting Magritte created, The Mysteries of The Horizon that has three men and three moons. It is very similar to his painting of The Schoolmaster.
Thanks to everyone who participated.
